About ChatQP

A practitioner-built tool,
grounded in the work.

ChatQP is a local decision-support tool for pharmaceutical quality and regulatory teams, built and maintained by a practising quality professional. It helps the people accountable for quality decisions make and defend them — without trying to make the decision for them.

What it is, and who it's for.

ChatQP is built for the people who carry quality decisions: Qualified Persons (QPs — the people legally accountable for releasing each batch in the EU), heads of Quality Assurance (QA), and regulatory-affairs and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) teams. It supports batch-release and deviation work, and it turns FDA and European Medicines Agency (EMA) precedent into source-linked intelligence for regulatory strategy. The aim is the same in both areas: structure the decision, show the regulatory basis, and leave the judgement to the human.

The premise is simple: pharmaceutical quality decisions are not information problems. They are judgement problems constrained by regulation. Most tools just retrieve data. They do not structure the decision, weigh the sources, or sit inside any real accountability.

A note from the person who built it.

I built ChatQP because generic AI tools can sound confident while missing the actual GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) issue. In QA and QP work, the hard part is not finding a clause. The hard part is deciding what the clause means for the batch in front of you.

I work in pharmaceutical quality, closely with regulatory and submission-facing work, with experience across GMP manufacturing support, analytical chemistry, microbiology, and the quality of both drug substance and drug product, across clinical and commercial work. ChatQP came out of that, and I maintain it.

The gap between knowing the regulation and making the decision is exactly where QPs earn their certification.

No overclaiming.

For the record

This is an independent project. It does not represent any employer. Every example on the site is constructed, and no proprietary employer data is used. ChatQP is a private beta tool, not a validated GMP system, and it does not make batch release decisions. The Qualified Person does.
